Child and teen psychiatry in Connecticut and Massachusetts

We provide developmentally informed psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and psychotherapy for children and adolescents. Care may address anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, behavioral concerns, mood disorders, autism-related needs, school difficulties, family transitions, and other emotional or developmental challenges.

Parents and guardians are included in treatment as clinically appropriate. Age ranges and services vary by clinician, and our intake team helps families identify an appropriate provider.

What we help young people with

Care is shaped around where a child is developmentally, not just their symptoms. Common reasons families come to us:

  • Anxiety and school refusal
  • Depression and low mood
  • ADHD and attention difficulties
  • Trauma
  • Behavioral difficulties
  • Mood disorders
  • Autism-related needs
  • Family transitions and grief

How parents are involved

Parents and guardians are part of treatment. How much depends on the child's age and what is clinically appropriate. With younger children, most of the work involves you directly. With teenagers, your child will have some private time with their clinician, and you will still be kept in the picture about the plan, the risks and anything that needs your decision.

We will be clear with you at the start about what will and will not be shared, so there are no surprises later.

Age ranges

Age ranges differ by clinician. When you submit the intake form, tell us your child's age and our intake team will confirm who can see them before anything is booked.

Which insurance we accept

We participate with several major commercial and public plans, including Connecticut's public program:

  • Aetna
  • Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Carelon
  • Cigna and Evernorth
  • UnitedHealthcare and Optum
  • Magellan
  • HUSKY Health and the Connecticut Behavioral Health Partnership

Network participation varies by clinician, by service and by where you are located, so please confirm your own coverage before your first appointment. If you are not covered, or you would rather not use insurance, self-pay is available.

Where we can treat you

We see patients by secure video in Connecticut, Massachusetts and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Our office is at 243 Tresser Blvd, 17th Floor, Stamford, Connecticut.

Telehealth law follows the patient, not the practice. You need to be physically located in a state or territory where your clinician is licensed at the time of your appointment. Our intake team checks this before anything is scheduled, so you will not be booked into an appointment that cannot go ahead.
