Starting care should feel simple and supportive. Here is how new patients begin with Straun Health & Wellness. Our team guides you through every step.
Our intake team reviews your clinical needs, age, state or territory, insurance, provider availability, requested service, and whether outpatient care appears appropriate.
If the request appears appropriate, you receive the necessary clinical questionnaire, consent forms, practice policies, insurance requests, and other secure documents.
Your provider completes an evaluation and discusses diagnostic impressions, treatment recommendations, and possible next steps.
When Straun Health & Wellness is an appropriate fit, ongoing care may be scheduled. When another provider or level of care would be more appropriate, referral recommendations may be offered.
Straun Health & Wellness participates with several major commercial and public insurance plans. Network participation varies by clinician, service, and patient location. Insurance coverage and benefits must be verified before the appointment. Self-pay services are also available.

Acceptance of an insurance company does not guarantee that every clinician is in network with every plan or product. Patients are responsible for confirming coverage and understanding deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance.
We serve patients located in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Telehealth services are available only when the patient is physically located in a state or territory where the treating clinician is licensed or otherwise authorized to practice. Provider availability, services, and insurance participation vary by location.
