Our therapists provide compassionate, individualized psychotherapy designed to help patients better understand themselves, reduce distress, develop effective coping skills, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change.
Depending on the clinician and the patient's needs, treatment may incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, EMDR, motivational interviewing, mindfulness-based approaches, supportive psychotherapy, wellness strategies, and other evidence-based methods.
Services may be available for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families based on provider expertise and availability.
Most people start with weekly sessions by secure video, then move to every other week as things settle. Sessions are a conversation, not a lecture. Your therapist will want to understand what is happening now, what has already been tried, and what you actually want out of this.
You are not expected to arrive with the right words for it. Plenty of people start with nothing more specific than a sense that something is wrong.
Which approach you get depends on what you are dealing with and which therapist you see:
Our therapists include licensed clinical social workers, licensed marriage and family therapists and psychologists. Specialties differ from one clinician to the next, which is why the intake team asks what you are looking for before booking you in.
We see individuals, couples and families. Some of our therapists work with children and teenagers as well as adults. Age ranges vary by clinician, so tell us who the appointment is for and we will match accordingly.
You do not have to choose. Many patients here see a therapist and a prescriber, and the two talk to each other. If you only want therapy, that is a normal way to work with us and no one will push medication on you.
We participate with several major commercial and public plans:
Network participation varies by clinician, by service and by where you are located, so please confirm your own coverage before your first appointment. If you are not covered, or you would rather not use insurance, self-pay is available.
We see patients by secure video in Connecticut, Massachusetts and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Our office is at 243 Tresser Blvd, 17th Floor, Stamford, Connecticut.
Telehealth law follows the patient, not the practice. You need to be physically located in a state or territory where your clinician is licensed at the time of your appointment. Our intake team checks this before anything is scheduled, so you will not be booked into an appointment that cannot go ahead.
